Loyola’s 2023 Schedule
|3/25||Army West Point||Loyola||Patriot League|
|4/1||Loyola||Holy Cross||Patriot League|
|4/15||Boston U.||Loyola||Patriot League|
2/18 vs Johns Hopkins: The Battle of Charles street will be renewed when the Loyola Greyhounds and Johns Hopkins Blue Jays take the field at the Ridley Athletic Complex on February 18th. Hopkins holds a 49-9 all-time series lead, however six of those Loyola wins have come over the past eight years. Johns Hopkins won last season’s meeting 11-10 at Homewood. Expect another tight one between these two rivals in this year’s battle.
3/1 @ Towson: Loyola opens the mont of March against rival Towson. Loyola will be looking to get back to its winning ways against Towson after the Tigers winning each of the past two meetings. That includes an 11-8 game last season. Loyola leads the all-time series 33-32 and has only faltered three times in the series since 2008.
4/15 @ Boston U.: In 2022, Loyola fell to two teams in Patriot League play. One of those squads was the eventual league champion Boston U. Terriers. With as much as the Terriers bring back and as much as Loyola will be looking to turn things around, this contest could tell us a good deal about where the Greyhounds are. Coming in April, it could also have a great impact on the postseason. Loyola lost 14-9 to the Terriers last spring.
4/28 @ Lehigh: The Greyhounds end the regular season on the road against the Lehigh Mountain Hawks in a game that could very well impact the Patriot League postseason picture. Having only lost to Lehigh once (2021) in program history, the Greyhounds beat the Mountain Hawks in an extremely tight 13-12 overtime contest last season.
