2/11 @ Rutgers: Stony Brook opens the season on the road against a Rutgers program coming off its first Championship Weekend Appearance. Last season, Rutgers defeated Stony Brook 14-13 on Long Island. In 2020, the Seawolves knocked off the Scarlet Knights 14-13. Expect this to be another close, early-season battle.
3/4 vs Brown: The Seawolves open the month of March at home against the Brown Bears. The Seawolves 10-7 on the road in Providence last season. Playing each year possible since 2016, these two have split each of the past six meetings, 6-6.
4/1 vs Towson: Stony Brook’s first big test in the CAA will come in early April against the Towson Tigers in what will be a battle of two of the best mid-majors over the past decade or so. It will be the first meeting between these two since 2012. This contest could very much be a preview of a postseason meeting.
4/15 vs Delaware: The defending CAA champion Delaware Blue Hens come to Long Island in mid-April to take on the Seawolves. Stony Brook is looking to make a splash immediately in the CAA and win over the Blue Hens would certainly provide that. Again, this could be the first of two potential meetings between these two.
