Key Games

3/11 @ North Carolina: One of the biggest early-season test for the Brown Bears comes in Chapel Hill against the North Carolina Tar Heels. In their meeting last season, the Tar Heels defeated the Bears 14-11 in a game that saw three ties in the second half alone and seven throughout the game. This contest should tell a lot about where the Bears are with some of the holes have needing to be filled from last year’s team.

3/18 vs Harvard: Brown opens Ivy League play against a Harvard squad that also made the NCAA Tournament last season and returns nearly all of its top contributors on both sides. Brown fell 12-11 to the Crimson on the road last season. This could be another close one early in the Ivy schedule.

3/27 @ Villanova: Having played each year they have been able to since 2016, Brown holds a 3-2 record over Villanova in the last five meetings between these two. That includes a 15-14 victory over the Wildcats at home last season. Playing later in the year in 2023, we could see another exciting contest between these two this spring.

4/8 vs Penn: Brown ended the regular season on a five-game winning streak in 2022. That streak started with a 12-10, comeback victory over the Penn Quakers. Brown got down 5-0 at the end of the first quarter and came roaring back to secure the win. Penn then beat Brown 14-9 in the Ivy League quarterfinals. This will be one to surely circle on the Ivy calendar.
