The Quinnipiac Bobcats are the 50th DI team and fourth from the MAAC to release their 2022 men’s lacrosse schedule. The Bobcats are coming off a 2021 campaign in which they went 4-3 against a MAAC-only schedule. Quinnipiac missed the postseason because of COVID protocols.

Key Games

2/19 @ Brown: Quinnipiac’s first big test of the season will come on the road against the Brown Bears. Last time out against the Bears in 2020, the Bobcats fell 11-7 in a game in which they had cut the goal differential to one early in the fourth before a three-goal Brown run to top things off. Quinnipiac beat the Bears last in 2018, and a win against them in 2022 would be huge.

3/26 vs Monmouth: The Bobcats home-opener comes against the defending MAAC champion Monmouth Hawks to end the month of March. In their lone game last season, the Hawks beat the Bobcats 10-8. Seeing as Quinnipiac would’ve been the No. 1 seed in the MAAC Tournament if thy had played in it, this is a game that Mason Poli’s squad likely wants very badly. Also, this could be one of multiple meetings these two have in 2022.

4/2 vs Marist: The Bobcats and Red Foxes faced each other once last season in a contests in which Marist went on a 5-3 fourth-quarter run to secure the 14-9 victory. It marked the first meeting between the two since their MAAC title game contests in 2019, which yielded a 15-14 win for Marist. The Red Foxes hold a 9-8 all-time series and have won the last three meetings. Expect another close one between two potential MAAC title contenders.
