Patriot League Championship: Boston U. Takes Down Army to Capture First Conference Title

Last Friday night, the Boston U. Terriers walked off Nickerson Field with defeat on their faces after dropping their first and only Patriot League contest of the season to Army West Point, falling victim to a 10-point outing from Brendan Nichtern.

Friday Recap: Army Outlast Boston U., Loyola Tops Lehigh in OT

With mere seconds left in regulation, Will Coletti handled the rock off the faceoff and pushed up field against a pressing Boston U. defense before scoring an empty-netter with 16 ticks remaining. The score ensured the the Army Black Knights would be the only Patriot League team to knock off Boston U. in the regular season, and would give the Black Knights the No. 2 seed in the conference tournament.

Saturday Recap: Syracuse Makes a Statement and Virginia Bounces Back; Paquette, Brandau Lead Yale Past Princeton

Gary Gait’s Syracuse Orange welcomed the Duke Blue Devils into the Carrier Dome on Saturday afternoon and made a statement, taking down the 11th-ranked Blue Devils 14-10 to earn their biggest win of the season.
