Tanner’s Top 10: Week Four

Week four of the college lacrosse season provided the biggest shakeup we have seen through this young season. Duke, Virginia and Maryland all suffered their first losses of the season. Syracuse also lost a top-10 battle midweek while Notre Dame and Cornell won meaningful games in bounce back fashion a week after losses.

The sun has set on Sunday night and thus the book has closed on week three of the 2024 college lacrosse season. It was a weekend that gifted us with five overtime games across two days of action. That includes an overtime battle in South Bend where the Georgetown Hoyas knocked off top-ranked Notre Dame.

Previewing Week Three of The College Lacrosse Season

The first few weeks of the 2024 college lacrosse season have already produced some heavyweight showdowns and results, including last week’s Syracuse-Maryland contest. Week three doesn’t produce any top-five battles but it is still a weekend likely to deliver with many big time matchups on the docket.

Previewing Week Zero of The College Lacrosse Season

At last, the season is here!

When the opening whistle blows at 11:00am on Saturday morning between High Point and Mercer it will mark the end of a 250-day offseason, which ensued following Notre Dame hoisting the trophy as national champions for the first time last Memorial Day.
