Midweek Recap: Dyson Williams Leads Duke Past High Point, Merrimack Completes The Comeback Versus Holy Cross

The Duke Blue Devils moved to 2-0 on Tuesday night with a dominating 20-8 victory over the High Point Panthers. The victory comes just three days after Duke knocked off Bellarmine 19-7 in its season opener.

2022 Schedule Preview: Merrimack Warriors

The Merrimack Warriors are the 35th DI team and fifth from the NEC to release their 2022 men’s lacrosse schedule. The Warriors are coming off a 2022 campaign in which they went 5-5 (4-4 NEC) against a conference-heavy schedule. 2022 will mark the Warriors’ third season as a DI.

Merrimack Continues to Progress as Year Three of Their DI Era of Approaches

Following the 2019 season, which saw Merrimack win a second consecutive DII national title, the Warriors made a jump that hadn’t been seen since Bryant made the same move in 2012. That move being the Warriors’ jump up from DII to DI.

What Can We Expect From Merrimack in Their Second Year as a DI?

After two consecutive DII national titles, the Merrimack Warriors made the jump to the DI ranks in 2020. And their success didn’t translate over as quickly or as smoothly as some may have thought or hoped it would, as the Warriors went 1-5 during the shortened 2020 season. Their lone win came in a 14-12 victory over Michigan. And while they did drop five out of their six contests, the Warriors were highly competitive in those losses, losing by an average of 1.8 goals.
